Storm Mountain Design Build was founded by Joel Reed. Joel was born and raised in the Colorado mountains and resides now in Fort Collins. At a young age Joel was introduced to building (put to work) by his dad, a log home builder of more than 50 years. Early on, Joel became very familiar with high end, non-conventional construction. He has learned proficiency in many of the building trades including groundwork & foundations, conventional framing, log work, cabinetry & trim, roofing, stone masonry, welding, and millworks spanning from the sawmill to the finish sander. After receiving his degree in Environmental Design (pre-architecture) from CU Boulder in 2009, Joel has also become experienced in drafting and design. Joel has been building since before he learned algebra, and he looks forward to building for you.
